What is this tool?

A consumer brand with high support volume gets one AI agent across every channel from Sierra, provided it is prepared for a sales-led, partnership-style rollout. Sierra's public pages offer no free trial and no self-serve sign-up, no price, rate or plan is published, and the documentation and help centre sit behind a customer login, so the evaluation begins through Sierra's contact form.

Engagement starts with Sierra's contact form, which asks for a company email, company name and industry, rather than a sign-up page. From there Sierra partners with the customer's team to build the agent, connect the systems it needs, test it, deploy it across the chosen channels and watch it through Sierra's monitoring tools.

Sierra publishes no prices, rates or plans. Its pricing page returns nothing, the commercial path is a contact form, and both its documentation and help centre are sign-in surfaces for existing customers; what it does state, on its product overview, home page and sales-contact page, is that pricing is outcome-based, with the customer paying when the agent achieves agreed, specific outcomes. What counts as an outcome and what it costs are agreed with Sierra.

On compliance, Sierra lists SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI, FedRAMP High, CCPA, CSA STAR, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, states PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider certification, says customer data is used only as instructed and never shared with other customers, and says PII is automatically encrypted and masked. These are Sierra's own statements, documented on its Trust Center.

Is this right for you?

Quick fit check against how you actually work.

Choose this if
  • You run enterprise-scale support and want one agent across chat, messaging, email, voice and ChatGPT
  • Paying for agreed outcomes rather than seats or conversations suits how you buy
  • You expect to build the agent with the vendor's team and want supervisor models and PII masking as standard
  • Your compliance list includes PCI DSS Level 1, FedRAMP High or ISO 42001
Consider alternatives if
  • You need a self-serve product or a published price before a sales conversation
  • You run a small support team; Sierra's public material is written for high-volume enterprise operations
  • You need to read product documentation before engaging, since Sierra's docs and help centre require a customer login

Key features

What you can actually do with this tool.

One agent, every channel

The same agent serves web and mobile-app chat, WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat, SMS, email, voice and ChatGPT, where it appears as a ChatGPT app via MCP. Which channels a given contract includes is not published.

Voice that handles languages and payments

Sierra's voice page states over 55 languages with switching mid-conversation, and card or ACH payment collection over the phone.

Built with Sierra, not just bought

Agents are authored in Agent Studio or by describing them to Ghostwriter, tested, and monitored through Insights and Explorer; Sierra's team works alongside the customer's on the build. Supervisor models and PII masking sit underneath.

Integrations by count, not by name

Sierra states 40+ pre-built integrations covering knowledge bases, systems of record and contact centres, plus custom ones built in Agent Studio. It names none on its public pages, so the list to check is the one Sierra gives you.
