Quickchat AI suits a small or mid-sized support team that wants an AI agent on its website and messaging channels, answering from its own help content and handing difficult conversations to a person. Budget in replies, not conversations: every AI reply spends credits from a monthly allowance, so a busy agent means a higher plan. The free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only, so any business or client deployment starts at the $9-a-month Starter plan.
Building an agent follows a fixed path. You set its name and tone, fill the knowledge base, decide which actions it may take and when it should hand over to a person, then test it against sets of sample questions before switching it on. Once live, it answers on whichever channels you connect, from the website widget, an iframe embed or a hosted chat page to the messaging apps and helpdesks named on the pricing page, and docs also list email and an MCP channel that lets other AI apps query your agent. Some channels need an account with that provider first, such as a Meta Business account for WhatsApp. The agent replies in multiple languages; the pricing page does not list them.
Every AI reply spends credits: 1 on the standard GPT model and on one of the advanced models, and 2 or 4 on the other advanced models, which paid plans can switch to; test runs and the preview spend credits too. Credits do not roll over, and at 100% the agent stops answering until the allowance resets or you upgrade, while new conversations still reach the Inbox for your team. Outside Discord, where 500-credit packs cost $5 before VAT, the only way to get more is a bigger plan, so estimate replies per month before picking one.
Annual billing charges ten months' price once a year, and the documentation says prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades wait for the end of the billing period, without proration, and fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Quickchat's terms let your knowledge-base content and chat logs go to OpenAI or other model providers for processing but not to train their models, and Quickchat's legal FAQ says customer data is stored on Google Cloud in Belgium, with a DPA available and SOC 2 in progress rather than certified. PII scrubbing before the model is offered, but the home page presents it as automatic while the legal FAQ describes it as available on request, so confirm how it is set up for your account. The terms also make you responsible for what your agent tells your customers and warn that its answers may be wrong.

What you can actually do with this tool.
Point the agent at single pages, a sitemap or a whole site, upload files, write articles, or pull in a Shopify store, Intercom Help Center articles or YouTube transcripts. Every source type is on every plan; what changes by plan is how many articles you can hold, from 50 on Free to 2,000 on Business. Website articles refresh automatically once a day on paid plans.
AI Actions let the agent call your HTTP APIs or MCP tools, look things up in Shopify, book events, qualify leads and escalate to a person mid-conversation. Running an action does not spend credits; the reply that follows does.
Handoff rules and keywords pass a conversation to a person, with working hours, an out-of-hours message and an optional AI summary for the teammate. With Zendesk, Intercom or HubSpot connected, the handover happens inside that helpdesk; otherwise it lands in Quickchat's shared Inbox, where the AI stops replying while a person takes over.
Website, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Discord and Slack conversations sit in one list, with a "Why AI said that" trace for each answer, translation and AI summaries. Insights adds sentiment, topics, outcomes and CSAT ratings, so you can see which questions the agent is getting wrong.
Quickchat runs an MCP server, so you can work on your agent from ChatGPT or Claude, and the documentation adds Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. API access for your own systems is a Business-plan feature.

Common questions about this tool, answered.
Billed monthly, the self-serve plans are Free at $0, Starter $9, Basic $29, Essential $99, Professional $299 and Business $999 a month. Billed annually, each costs ten months' price once a year, for example $90 for Starter or $9990 for Business. The documentation says prices exclude VAT. Enterprise is priced from $0.50 per resolved conversation with a 2,000-resolution monthly minimum, by quote.
No. Quickchat's pricing page limits the Free plan to personal, non-commercial use and counts running an agent for a company or for a client as commercial use, which starts at the Starter plan. Free does give real usage for trying the product: 50 AI credits a month, one user and up to 50 knowledge-base articles. Quickchat's pricing page answers "Can I try it for free?" with this Free plan rather than a time-limited trial.
A credit is spent on each AI reply, not on each conversation: 1 credit on the standard model and one advanced model, 2 or 4 on the other advanced models. Plans include 50 to 30,000 credits a month, unused credits do not roll over, and when they run out the agent stops replying until the reset or an upgrade. A Starter plan's 150 credits are therefore about 150 standard-model replies a month.
Quickchat's terms say your content and chat logs may be sent to OpenAI or other model providers only to generate answers and may not be used to train or improve their models, and its legal FAQ says the same for Quickchat itself. Data is stored on Google Cloud in Belgium according to that FAQ, and a DPA is available.
Enterprise bills only conversations the AI resolves, from $0.50 each with a 2,000-a-month minimum. Quickchat counts a conversation as resolved when the customer confirms the answer helped, for example with "Ok thanks" or a rating, and also when the customer ends it without asking for a person, so ask how resolutions are measured before comparing it with the self-serve plans.
