What is this tool?

Decide on slide count before download count: it is the cap that changes what you can actually make. It starts at five slides a carousel on the free plan and quadruples by the top tier, so a carousel needing a dozen cannot be made on the $15 plan at any volume. Downloads are the second meter — five free, thirty a month on Starter, uncounted above that — and the watermark comes off at Starter. On paying: annual billing is offered at two months free with no yearly figure published, extra limits are sold per unit, and Creator's price needs settling at checkout, as the vendor's surfaces disagree.

PostNitro, from PostNitro Inc., builds carousel posts from a prompt, a description or a link and then schedules and publishes them. The vendor's own line — "From an idea to a published post in under a minute" — describes the whole arc rather than just generation, and that is a real change from the carousel generator the tool was first catalogued as.

There are four plans — Free at $0, Starter at $15 a month, Team at $50, and Creator, whose price the vendor prints two ways. Two separate meters run across them. Downloads go 5, then 30 a month, then unlimited on both Creator and Team. AI-generated slides per carousel go 5, 8, 15 and 20. The free plan carries a watermark and Starter removes it.

Of those two meters, the slide cap is the one that constrains the work rather than the volume. Eight slides is a short carousel; fifteen is a long one. If the format you have in mind runs to a dozen slides, Starter cannot produce it however many downloads you have left, and the decision jumps straight to Creator. Downloads are the easier judgement: 30 a month is roughly one a day, and anything busier than that is already in unlimited territory.

Beside the plan prices sit two further terms. Billing runs monthly or yearly — the vendor offers both and describes the annual saving as two months free, though it prints no yearly figure to check that against, so the number to commit to has to come from checkout rather than from the plans page. And a plan is not a ceiling: the documentation prices each extra unit by the month, at $3 for a workspace, a team member, a branding slot or a custom template and $1 for an AI generated image, a colour preset or an AI preset. Programmatic access through the MCP server, CLI and REST API is sold the same way, at $10 a month with 250 credits included. Three rules go with all of them: an add-on follows the primary subscription's billing cycle, changes prorate immediately, and a discount on the subscription does not carry to the add-on.

One figure does not agree with itself. The plans page prices Creator at $25 a month, on the plan card and again in its own comparison table. The vendor's documentation prices the same plan at $20. Both are official surfaces and both are current enough to be published; this page therefore reproduces both and asserts neither, because picking the lower would flatter the product and picking the higher would flatter the caution. If Creator is the plan you want, confirm what you will actually be charged at checkout before you commit.

At the top of the ladder, generated imagery is metered too: a hundred AI images a month sit alongside the twenty-slide ceiling. The trial on all three paid plans is three days, which is short enough that it is worth having the posts you want to build ready before you start it, rather than deciding what to test once the clock is running.

Is this right for you?

Quick fit check against how you actually work.

Choose this if
  • Carousels are a regular part of your posting, not an occasional experiment
  • You want generation, design and scheduling in one tool rather than three
  • Your carousels run long — 15 or 20 slides — and a short-slide cap would block the format
  • You post often enough that an unlimited-download tier is cheaper than counting them
  • You want to try the output on the free plan first and accept a watermark while you do
  • You are settled enough to pay yearly, which the vendor prices at two months free
Consider alternatives if
  • You need more than 20 AI-generated slides in a single carousel, which is the top published cap
  • You want to evaluate slowly — the trial on the paid plans is three days
  • Your volume is low and occasional: five downloads makes the free plan a taster rather than a working tier, and Starter's 30 a month may be more than you need
  • You need more than 100 AI-generated images a month, which is what the top tier publishes — though the vendor does sell additional limits as add-ons
  • You want to compare an annual commitment properly before making it: the yearly option is offered but no yearly figure is published
  • You need the Creator price settled before you commit — the plans page and the vendor's documentation print two different figures for it

Key features

What you can actually do with this tool.

Idea to finished carousel in one pass

A topic, a description or a link becomes a designed multi-slide post with copy already written, which is the step that otherwise needs both a writer and a design file.

Scheduling and publishing, not just export

The product's published scope now covers creating, scheduling and publishing. That removes the hand-off to a separate scheduler that the earlier generator-only version required.

Slide ceiling rises with the plan

Free stops at five slides in a carousel, Starter at eight, Creator at fifteen and Team at twenty. This governs the shape of what you can publish, not merely how often.

Unlimited downloads from the Creator tier up

Free and Starter meter downloads at 5 and 30 a month; Creator and Team remove the meter entirely, which is what makes a daily posting habit predictable to budget once the plan is paid for.

AI image generation on the top tier

Team adds 100 AI-generated images a month, so slides can carry generated visuals rather than only typography and stock.

Frequently asked

Common questions about this tool, answered.

How much is PostNitro?

Free is $0, Starter $15 a month and Team $50, with a 3-day trial on each paid plan. Creator is the one to check: the plans page prints $25 a month and the vendor's documentation prints $20, so confirm it in the basket rather than trusting either. A yearly option is also offered, described as two months free, without a published yearly price. Prices are stated as subject to applicable taxes.

Can I buy more than a plan includes?

Yes, and the rates are published. Extra workspaces, team members, branding slots and custom templates cost $3 each a month; extra AI generated images, colour presets and AI presets cost $1. Programmatic access is priced separately at $10 a month with 250 credits. Whatever you add follows your subscription's billing cycle, prorates immediately when changed, and does not inherit a discount applied to the subscription.

How many slides can one carousel have?

AI-generated slides per carousel are capped at 5 on Free, 8 on Starter, 15 on Creator and 20 on Team. Unlike the download meter, this one limits what a single carousel can be rather than how many you make, so a format that needs twelve slides rules out the two cheapest plans outright.

When do downloads stop being counted?

At Creator. Free gives 5 downloads and Starter 30 a month; Creator and Team are both unlimited.

Is there a watermark on the free plan?

Yes. The Free plan applies a watermark and the Starter plan at $15 a month removes it.

Does it publish posts or only make them?

Both. The vendor's published scope is creating, scheduling and publishing, so a finished carousel can go out on a schedule rather than being downloaded and posted elsewhere.
