Fast-read signals for fit, pricing, and trust.
Useful for ecommerce teams that have to write or refresh descriptions and metadata across a large catalogue in one voice and push the results back to Shopify or a PIM. The single-seat Basic tier covers description generation and other ecommerce content types; attribute enrichment, tagging, taxonomy management, bulk image editing and custom PIM/ERP integrations sit in Ecommerce Enterprise. No price is published for either tier, so cost is a sales conversation from the start.
Products come in by CSV or XLSX upload or from a connected Shopify store or PIM. The team sets the brand voice and formatting rules, generates or rewrites descriptions, meta titles and category copy in bulk, reviews and edits the output, and publishes it back to the store or PIM, translating it for other markets where needed. Hypotenuse's terms make the user responsible for reviewing and editing generated content.
Usage is counted in generated words. Each subscription carries a monthly word allowance that refreshes on the billing date: unused words lapse on monthly billing but roll over on annual billing, where the words are granted up front. A generated product description uses roughly 100-150 words, and chat and image tools run under a fair-use rate limit. The word allowance of each current tier is not published, and the help centre says larger volumes are sold as custom quotes. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. The free trial's length is not stated; the terms say billing details may be needed to start it and the subscription is charged automatically when it ends unless cancelled.
Hypotenuse reports SOC 2 Type II compliance with encryption in transit and at rest, and says customer data is not shared with third parties. Users keep their rights to what they submit or generate, while granting Hypotenuse a licence to use, modify, display, reproduce and distribute it within the service.

Common questions about this tool, answered.
Only from Hypotenuse: both tiers are marked 'Custom'. Basic starts with a free trial and Ecommerce Enterprise with a demo request, and the help centre says larger word volumes are quoted individually.
The pricing page says customer data does not train Hypotenuse's model and is not used to train public AI models. The terms still allow Hypotenuse to analyse usage and content-derived data to improve the service.
A product-description API is available, with an API key issued on request; custom PIM and ERP integrations are part of Ecommerce Enterprise.
