A help desk with AI agents built in: its Support Agent works customer conversations on chat, email and messaging and hands off with the work done
Fast-read signals for fit, pricing, and trust.
Built for a support team that wants its conversations and its AI agents in one help desk, with routine chat, email and messaging conversations resolved by AI and the rest handed to people. Seats cost nothing and AI work is billed in credit blocks, so the bill tracks how much the agents do rather than headcount; Helply's own estimate of about 7 credits per B2B conversation and 4 per B2C is the place to start sizing a block.
Conversations from every connected channel land in one shared inbox, and the agents work inside it. The website chat widget is installed with a snippet and configured for branding, customer context, AI behaviour and escalation. When a customer writes in, the Support Agent picks the conversation up, works through the knowledge base, customer history and connected tools, and either resolves it or passes it on with its findings attached, including outside business hours. The Support Agent page also describes it as working "proactively in the background" before your team opens a conversation, so expect it to prepare cases as well as answer them.
Around the Support Agent sit two other kinds of agent: Assist works alongside your people inside a conversation, and Background Agents act on what they notice across all of them. The knowledge base ties the three together: what the agents learn from resolved conversations comes back as draft articles for your team to approve.

What you can actually do with this tool.
In each conversation it reads what the customer wrote and what Helply remembers about them, investigates with your knowledge base, Skills and connected tools, answers, and carries out supported actions, each running inside permissions you set and logged.
You choose the situations, confidence levels or customer conditions that trigger an escalation; the conversation goes to the right person with the investigation and history in place. Helply says the AI answers directly only when it has the knowledge and confidence to.
Guidelines define how agents behave and decide, including when a person must be involved, and can differ by agent and type of work; training on real conversations and your team's feedback refines knowledge, Skills and Guidelines over time.
The built-in help centre is both what customers search and what the agents draw on. Helply surfaces gaps and drafts new or updated articles, with your team deciding what is published, and existing content can be imported.
An Assist Agent works inside conversations with your human agents, drafting replies and taking actions they approve, while Background Agents watch every conversation for churn risk, knowledge gaps, expansion signals, feature requests and emerging trends.

Common questions about this tool, answered.
No free plan is listed on the pricing page; the smallest paid option is the 500-credit block. There is a 14-day free trial with 1,000 credits and no card required.
The pricing page prices AI work in credit blocks, as above. An article in Helply's public help centre describes pricing per AI resolution instead, so confirm the pricing model on your quote.
The next block is bought automatically at the same rate, up to a monthly spending cap that defaults to your block price; turn auto top-up off and the AI pauses at the cap while your team keeps working in the help desk. Unused credits carry into the next month and expire at its end. Retries, failed actions, drafts your team rejects and setup work never use credits, and you can move up a block at any time, paying the difference pro rata.
Helply says customer data sent to its AI providers is never used to train their models and stays scoped to your account, under agreements that prohibit training on customer data. Its public sub-processor list names OpenAI, Cohere and Jina AI among its data processing providers, and it says a SOC 2 Type II report is available to prospects and customers under NDA.
