Happy Scribe sells transcription as pools of AI minutes, 120, 600 or 6,000 a month, that reset each cycle, with top-ups at $0.20 a minute that do not expire and human transcription for recordings that have to be exact. That suits podcasters, video teams and researchers transcribing every week. The free plan is a meeting notetaker with a one-off taste of AI transcription, not a free transcription allowance.

Recordings arrive two ways: the notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet or Teams calls, or you upload files or pull them from cloud storage and video platforms. Happy Scribe produces an AI transcript or subtitles, which you correct in its editor and export, or you send the file for human transcription instead. Zapier and the API automate the same steps.
Annual billing halves Starter, to $8.50 a month against $17, and takes about a third off Pro and Business: $19 against $29, and $59 against $89.

Integrations and an API
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Zapier, Google Calendar and Outlook, plus a REST API and an MCP server. Most integrations work on every plan; CRM sync may need Business.
EU data and SOC 2
Happy Scribe states SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance, and says meeting data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stays in the EU.
