Fast-read signals for fit, pricing, and trust.
Fontjoy is a fast starting point for pairing fonts from Google's web-font library on a website, slide deck or student project. It stops at suggestions: Fontjoy's site has no account, saving, export or upload of your own fonts, so you carry the font names into your design tool. It is a small project with a 2017 copyright and no terms, licence or support pages on the site.
Fontjoy runs on its home page with no sign-up. Generate a set, lock the fonts that work, regenerate the others, adjust the contrast and type your own text into the preview; when a set looks right, follow each font's link to Google Fonts and use the names in your own design tool.
Fontjoy suggests only from Google's web-font library, so you cannot pair commercial, Adobe or your own uploaded fonts, and its site has no saving, export or sharing function. No price, plan, account or trial appears on Fontjoy's home page, method page or projector page, or in its maker's repository. The site publishes no terms of use; the repository of the font vectors behind it is MIT-licensed, and Fontjoy says nothing about the licences of the fonts it suggests. Fontjoy is a small project by Jack Qiao; its 'Logo maker' link goes to Brandmark, a separate product.

What you can actually do with this tool.
Each generation proposes a title, a subtitle and a body font together, so the pairing is judged as a set.
Keep any font you like, choose one by hand, and move the contrast setting to get pairings that differ more or less.
A neural network compares fonts by how they look, looking for similarity in some respects and contrast in others, with body-text legibility weighed as well.
Type your own words into the preview to see the set as it would read.
Each font in a set links out to its page on Google Fonts.
Common questions about this tool, answered.
Free to use: Fontjoy runs on its home page with no sign-up, and no price, plan or payment appears on Fontjoy's site or in its maker's repository, though Fontjoy publishes no statement of pricing either way.
Each suggested font name links to that font's Google Fonts page; Fontjoy itself provides no download, export or file.
Fontjoy does not say anything on font licensing, so check each font's licence before commercial use. Every suggestion comes from Google's web-font library and links out to Google Fonts.
