Fast-read signals for fit, pricing, and trust.
A strong fit for podcasters, interviewers and video creators whose dialogue was recorded on a weak mic or in a bad room and who want a one-step fix rather than manual noise reduction and EQ. Adobe's Enhance Speech FAQ gives the free plan files up to 30 minutes and an hour of processing a day, which suits occasional episodes but not a backlog. For more, checkout on podcast.adobe.com now offers new members Adobe's separate Firefly Pro plan; check its current price on Adobe's plans page.
The workflow is short: sign in to Adobe Podcast, open Enhance Speech, drop in a file, let it upload and process, preview the result and download it. Audio can be WAV, MP3, M4A, AAC or FLAC on both of Adobe's help pages, with OGG listed on one of them only; video in MP4, MOV or M4V is a Premium upload. Nothing is converted on the way out, so a WAV comes back as a WAV. If you record in Adobe Podcast Studio, the same filter can be switched on there instead of uploading separately.
How much you can process depends on the plan. Adobe's Enhance Speech help FAQ and its plans comparison limit free use to files of up to 30 minutes and 500 MB and an hour of processing a day. Premium raises the allowance to 4 hours a day and 1 GB per file, adds video and bulk upload, and unlocks the mix sliders and stem downloads. Usage against your daily limit is shown in your account.
How you buy the paid tier changed on 30 August 2026. Adobe no longer sells Adobe Podcast Premium on its own to new members: checkout on podcast.adobe.com prompts Adobe's separate Firefly Pro plan, which Adobe says includes everything Adobe Podcast offered. Existing Premium subscribers stay on their current price, but cancelling after that date means buying Firefly Pro, a separate Adobe plan, to get Premium features back. Adobe says Enhance Speech used on its own will continue to be available. Adobe Podcast is offered worldwide except for a short list of countries and regions, including China, Iran, North Korea and Crimea.

What you can actually do with this tool.
Upload a recording and Enhance Speech removes background noise, reverb and echo, chatter and background music, and balances and normalises the voice. Results depend on how audible the speaker is and how much noise there is, so a very distant or buried voice will improve less.
Adobe promotes v2 as its best speech-enhancement model, aimed at busy streets, stairwell echo and distant voices.
Adobe describes the filter as language agnostic: it cleans the speech without generating or translating anything, so it suits non-English shows as well as English ones.
Premium adds sliders for how strongly to enhance and how much speech, music and ambience to keep, and since March 2026 a music slider and separate downloadable stems for speech, background noise and music. Without them you take the default result, which Adobe says is usable in most cases.
It runs in current Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on desktop and mobile, and Adobe says no app is needed. It returns the file in the same format you uploaded. Inside Adobe Podcast it is also available as a filter in Adobe Podcast Studio.

Common questions about this tool, answered.
Yes, there is a standing free plan, not a trial. Adobe's Enhance Speech FAQ and its plans comparison allow free files of up to 30 minutes and 500 MB, and up to an hour of processing a day; the paid plan raises the file limit to 1 GB. Video and bulk uploads are not part of the free plan.
From 30 August 2026 Adobe stopped selling Adobe Podcast Premium as a standalone plan to new members. Going through checkout on podcast.adobe.com now prompts Adobe's separate Firefly Pro plan, which Adobe says includes Enhance Speech and the rest of what Adobe Podcast offered; check its current price on Adobe's plans page. If you already pay for Adobe Podcast Premium, you keep it at your current price unless you cancel.
Up to 4 hours of processing a day and files up to 1 GB, video upload, bulk upload, sliders for enhancement strength and the speech, music and ambience balance, and, since March 2026, a music slider and stem downloads that separate speech, background noise and music.
Adobe offers it as a filter in Adobe Podcast Studio, and Adobe's help pages also list it inside Adobe Firefly on the web, a separate Adobe product with its own plans. Adobe's own guide compares Enhance Speech with Premiere Pro's manual audio tools as a different way of working.
Yes. Adobe says Enhance Speech is language agnostic: it cleans the voice without generating or translating speech, and results depend mainly on how audible the speaker is and how much background noise there is.
